Interesting vid, though I'm a bit ambivalent about it. I think American politics is more sport than anything else; the red and blue teams hate each other and want each other to lose, but beyond that have no principles. Oddly enough, one of my favourite politicians is George Galloway, purely because he tells American neo-cons to get stuffed whilst both Tories and Labour fawn over anything American. Whilst Galloway is a 'far left' politician, in some regards he is our most conservative one.
Hi Gregor
I have a feeling that Galloways potential conservatism would be defined in Islamic terms. ;-)
I am not ambivalent to American foreign policy for very simple reason. British and Czech flow policies directly from American scrip. I kind of identify with the ideas of American antiwar right and therefore I posted it, the victory of such a viewpoint in America would mean the end of our duties as vassals.
As for battle of Reds and Blues, it is very much like in other countries, in Britain you have the third option (Lib dem.), in the Czech Republic you have two main parties and then about three additional. I must admit the additional parties change more often than in Britain (the Communists remain a constant nevertheless) but politics is still a contest between mainly the neo-liberals and international socialists.
